INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

'Empowering Girls for a Brighter Tomorrow'.

Find Our Shared Resources Below:

International Day of the Girl Child is an opportunity to celebrate the countless successful work and achievements of many girls around the world.

At SheRose, we know that so many girls around the world are being denied their basic human rights – therefore, this day is also an opportunity for us to re-examine our support for girls in Malawi, and reaffirm our commitment towards advocating for girls to have access to all their basic human rights.

On this day, we reaffirm our commitment towards the empowerment of girls and addressing inequality and abusive practices

Child marriage is a form of discrimination, and gender based violence, which is all too prevalent in Malawi. Throughout the day, we encourage you to engage with the resources shared and learn more about the cause we advocate for.

International Day of the Girl Child reminds us that so many girls around the world face discrimination, and for us as a charity, that means spotlighting our cause for the eradication of child marriages and the empowerment of girls through education.

You can also make a personal commitment to contribute towards ending child marriages in Malawi; and learn about the various ways you can get involved and championing for change around girls rights in Malawi
